Chlamydia & Gonorrhea

Chlamydia
Chlamydia is the most common bacterial STD in the nation. This bacterial STD is easily identified with STD testing and can be effectively treated with antibiotics. Possible symptoms of Chlamydia include:
- An abnormal discharge
- A burning sensation when peeing
- Pain and swelling in one or both testicles (for men)
Gonorrhea
Gonorrhea is a bacterial STD that can typically be treated with antibiotics. With Gonorrhea, the bacteria has already started developing resistance to treatment drugs, so treatment will require many follow-up appointments to make sure it’s gone.
Gonorrhea doesn’t usually come with any symptoms, but some may experience the following symptoms:
- Painful or burning sensation when peeing
- Abnormal discharge
- Vaginal bleeding between periods (for women)
- Painful or swollen testicles (for men)
